The Cartier Tank Collection
Cartier’s flagship range now includes the beautiful Tank Anglaise – new for 2012! The Cartier Tank was first created in 1917 as a tribute to the Allied Forces in Europe. The concealed connection points allow the case to appear both square and rectangular, a modern design based on the horizontal section of Renault military tanks. The Tank Louis Cartier was released in 1922 and was distinguished by its rounded horns. The Tank Americaine was introduced in 1989; midway between a casual and dress watch, Cartier adapted the watch to the American lifestyle. The Tank Francaise was launched in 1996. The case features bevelled, rounded corners with an integrated bracelet which revisits the caterpillar tracks of the vehicle after which it is named.
