The Royal Oak collection is named after the Royal Oak battleship because of its octagonal shape cannon scuttles. The boat itself was named after the oak which saved King Charles II from an attack in 1651. The tree had since become symbolic for protection and power.
The collection retains the same design since it was launched in 1972.
The 39mm diameter case is made of stainless steel with a distincive octagonal bezel and glareproof scratch resistant sapphire crystal . The open-work dial shows the skeleton mechanics of the watch and gold applied numerals and hands with a luminescent coating. Skeleton selfwinding calibre 3129 movement with a 60 hour power reserve made up of 239 parts and 38 jewels. A balance wheel with a frequency of 300 Hz and an oscillating weight of 18-carat gold.
The stainless steel bracelet is perfectly integrated with the case and comes complete with a deployment clasp and water resistant to 50 metres.

If your watch has a linked bracelet, we can adjust the size before it's sent so that it fits straight out of the box.

Any links that have been removed will be sent with your watch. In some cases you may need additional links - in which case we'll get in touch as there may be a small additional cost as we'll need to source these from the manufacturer.
