Pequignet History
Pequignet was founded in 1973 by Emile Pequignet in Mortlake in France. Mortlake is in the heart of the French Jura region, and for the next 31 years the company remained under the control of Emile. Originally Pequignet was a brand dedicated to producing watches that reflected Emile’s interests in equestrian and golf. Following Pequignet’s retirement in 2004, the brand was acquired by the Leibundgut family and has been under the direction of Didier Leibundgut ever since. The brand built their own manufacture at Le Locle ensuring that they can still brand themselves as Swiss made. They have built a reputation for combining Swiss accuracy with timeless French elegance and spirit. The range features men’s and ladies watches and chronographs designed to outlast fashion trends.
