The Chopard Legacy

The 24 year-old Louis-Ulysse Chopard opened his first L.U.C manufacture in 1860 Sonvilier, Switzerland. Chopard’s passion for fine watches took him through Scandinavia and Russia showcasing his product in an attempt to gain customers. In 1937 the company relocated to Geneva under the guidance of Paul-André Chopard, grandson of Louis. In 1963, the company was sold to Karl Scheufele III who was keen to acquire a Swiss movement manufacture and make his own movement. To this day Chopard remains an independent watch manufacture. Chopard value creativity and audacity and these are reflected in the Happy Sport and Classic Racing collections. The range is full of beautiful men’s and ladies sports watches and chronographs with a very individual style. While the Imperiale collection pays tribute to the company’s history of quality and excellence with its classic style.
