The Bulova Accutron Legacy
Joseph Bulova arrived in Manhattan in 1870 and by 1875 he had opened his own jewellery store. His store became the envy of the city’s jewellery industry with its quality and artistic innovation. In 1960 the Accutron collection was first launched but the technology had requested by NASA many years before to be used for timing apparatus to be used on their satellite missions.
Accutron technology was first used in space in 1958 in an association lasting for decades that included the first moonwalk in 1969. Accutron became a standard bearer for accuracy and elegance and was even used aboard Air Force One. The current Bulova Accutron range is excellent value and is endorsed by entrepreneur and renowned explorer Richard Branson.
